-
T-WV CCC and CERT members are eligible to attend classes
in various aspects of emergency response and preparedness, conducted by
the NH BEM
-
These classes are at no cost to the students, and if held
more than 50 miles from the townships, hotel accommodations are paid for
by BEM. A continental breakfast and lunch are normally provided. The student
only bears the cost of mileage and supper (if staying overnight).
-
Attendance at these courses helps to increase the knowledge
base within the community of various aspects of emergency response subjects.
Small, rural towns such as ours do not have large first responder organizations,
and it is difficult to release their personnel for 2-4 days to attend the
courses. Having CERT members attend these courses ensures the towns will
have a resource available that they can tap into for the subject matter
of interest.
-
A list of courses that have been attended by CERT members
is listed under the Training Schedule link, along with courses available
for 2008.
